RCMSL had its annual visit to Mother Theresa Home for the Elderly. We donated cooking oil, laundy materials and other items needed by the center. We also help feed the elderly during our visit. The Mother Theresa project is handled by Rtn. Tessie Santos.
FEBRUARY FELLOWSHIP
After the 10th Rotary Peace Award, RCMSL members had a fellowship at the lobby of Manila Peninsula. This is our way of relaxing after a tiring and stressful preparation for a major event like the Peace Award. With this type of fellowship, we are able to enhance our bonding to make our club stronger.
10TH ROTARY PEACE AWARD
RCMSL had its 10th Rotary Peace Award last February 27, 2008 at Makati Park and Garden. This year's awardee is GK Leader Antonio "Tony" Meloto. Tony Meloto exemplifies peace by improving the dignity of life of poor people regardless of nationality and religion. The event was well attended by prominent District Officers like PRID Paeng Hechanova, DG Ato Magadia, DGE Ed Limon, DGN Sid and PDGs Jimmy Cura, Sonny Coloma and Rosie Go (D3810). Rotarians who are avid supporters of Gawad Kalinga graced the event. PP Geoffrey Little, Ambassadorial Chair for Rotary Peace City was also present during the awarding.
RCMSL SUPPORTS MARINDUCARE FOUNDATION
CLUSTER 6 SISTERHOOD AGREEMENT
Cluster 6 Rotary Clubs (RC Makati Bel-Air, RC Makati Pasong Tamo, RC Makati Rockwell, RC Makati San Lorenzo and RC Makati Urdaneta) formalized its relationship by signing a sisterhood agreement. The signing was witnessed by DGN Sid and AG Paul Magno. The Sharing Presidents in Cluster 6 will make a 3 year plan to implement projects in partnership with the newly formed sister clubs.
DISTRICT POST VALENTINE AFFAIR
RCMSL Co-Hosted the District Post Valentine Affair held at Manila Polo Club last February 21, 2008. The theme for the affair is back to the 80's. Members of RCMSL came in full force to support this district affair. Our club has the highest number of attendees with 15 members supporting the event. It was a night of dancing, games and a lot of fun.

RCMSL ATTENDED SISTER CLUB RC CHINATOWN MANILA'S CHARTER ANNIVERSARY
RCMSL attended the 15th Charter Anniversary of its Sister Club, RC Chinatown Manila last Feb. 8, 2008 at Cachina Room, Century Park Sheraton. Our members came in their best Chinese costume. Thank you to SP Philip Lee and PDG Rosie Go for inviting our club to be part of their Charter Anniversary and we hope to continue our partnership in the years to come.

Pres. Erwyn Alcomendras , PE Chacha Camacho and DCC for membership Maridel Villavicencio attended the mid year review at SMX convention Center, Mall of Asia. Cluster 6, where RC Makati San Lorenzo belongs to, was commended by Governor Ato and district officers for giving the best mid year presentation.
MEDICAL AND DENTAL MISSION AT RCC CALAWIS ANTIPOLO
OFFICERS OF RCC CALAWIS ANTIPOLO INDUCTED
Last Jan 19, we formally inducted the officers and members of our RCC in Calawis, Antipolo. There were 15 members of the board and 7 are officers headed by RCC President Toto Malvar. The RCC is already planning our project of planting bamboo in Antipolo watershed which will be a pilot project of the RCC. We also donated educational toys during the induction.

We have a very interesting speaker to start the 2nd half of the Rotary year. Our speaker was Irene Mora. She is a pilot and a Cosmonaut. Although she was born and raised in the US, her heart is still in her hometown in mindoro. She has been doing advocacy in eco tourism and protecting the environment.
