Fellowship at Grace Ocampo's Residence

RCMSL members met at Rotarian Grace Ocampo's house. It is the first fellowship meeting for the year. We also discussed the motif of our induction, the presentation and venue.

2nd Regular Meeting RY2010-2011

Our speaker for our 2nd Regular Meeting is CP Danny Abinoja who is the District Chair for Disaster Management. District 3830 with the efforts of CP Danny's team created a Disaster Management manual to be disseminated to all the clubs in the district. Other district also showed interest in adopting the disaster management manual. The focus of the Disaster Management Manual is to train people in Disaster Preparedness with focus on the five areas namely: earthquake, fire, volcanic eruption, landslide and flood. We inducted a new member to the club in the person of Chit Tan. Our member based is now at 43.

RY2010-2011 First Regular Meeting

RCMSL had its first regular meeting at the Manila Polo club last Thursday, July 15, 2010. Our guest speaker is Dra. Engie Domondon who is an advocate of Natural Medicines. She talked about things we need to do to have healthy body. Pres. Ruth also a new member to the club, Ms. Vicky Abraham.

HANDOVER 2010

Last July 2, 2010, Rotarians flocked to Le Pavillion at Roxas Boulevard to witness the official HANDOVER of District 3830 from Gov. Sid Garcia to our Global Governor Ed Alvarez. There were 700+ people who attended the event. Since we discourage on site registration, everybody experienced a smooth and fun filled Handover.The Handover 2010 was a huge success. The host clubs for this event are RC Makati San Lorenzo and RC Makati West.

REAP - Distict Awards 2010

With the leadership of Pres. Jing Sarao and the support of all the Members, RC Makati San Lorenzo garnered 10 Major Awards in the recently concluded REAP Awards. The following are the awards received by the club: 2009-2010 Zone Literacy Award, Presidential Citation, Distinguished Service Award, Most Outstanding Club-Medium Category for Public Image, Outstanding Club-Medium Category for International Service, Outstanding Club-Medium Category for Club Service, Outstanding Club-Medium Category for Rotary Academy, Outstanding Public Image Project for 90 years of Philippine Rotary, Most Outstanding Service Project for 90 years of Philippine Rotary and Outstanding Partnership Project for Kapit Bisig Para sa Ilog Pasig. IPP Chacha Camacho, PP Maridel Villavicencio and PP Cynthia Reyes were also given the Governor's Distinguished Service Award

Club Handover 2010

Pres. Jing passed on the baton of leadership to PE Ruth Nocum during our club handover. Certificate of recognitions were given to members of the club who have supported Pres. Jing during her term. The club handover also coincides with the birthday of Pres. Jing so its a double celebration. We really had a fun filled night and we are looking forward to the incoming term of PE Ruth.

RCMSL Attended the Charter Anniversary of RC Taipei Capital

RCMSL's annual visit to Taipei to attend the Charter Anniversary of our sister club, RC Taipei Capital. This year is their 19th Charter Anniversary and 1000th meeting.
