MAPSA AWARDS

RCMSL had its Annual MAPSA Awards last May 8, 2008 at Elk's Club. Every year, the club identifies deserving MAPSA personnel to be recognized for their exemplary performance of their duty. We are partnering with Makati's Department of Public Safety in screening the awardees. This years awardees are: T/O Francisco M. Roxas, T/O Rustico M. Garcia and T/O Richard R. Guiyab. Aside from the plaque of recognition, the awardees where given cash gifts of P5,000.00 each.

MEETING WITH RC ANTIPOLO CITY

RCMSL met with the officers of RC Antipolo City headed by CP LJ Sumulong. He was accompanied by Dir. Manny and Dir. Peps. We are partnering with RC Antipolo City to declare Antipolo as a Rotary Peace City. We discussed to them the requirements for the Peace City such as identification of location, design of monument, type of commemoration etc. The target date for the declaration will be on July 3. This is also the day wherein we will be bringing our foreign sister club to Antipolo to visit our project with our RCC.

FELLOWSHIP AT ANTIPOLO CITY

In lieu of our May 1 meeting which falls on a holiday, the club decided to go to Antipolo to attend the May time festival and celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage. Our host, Munte del Rosario, toured us around Antipolo. We visited the church, bought kasoy and suman at the pasalubong center and went to the Christmas house. It was a fun bonding moments with the members.

RCMSL ATTENDED RC TAIPEI CAPITAL'S CHARTER ANNIVERSARY

11 Members of RCMSL headed by CP Renie Andrews went to Taipei to attend the 17th Charter Anniversary of our sister club RC Taipei Capital. Our sisterhood with RC Taipei Capital is already more than 10 years and we treat each other as family. As expected, our sister club was a gracious host and took good care of the members of RCMSL.
